- 9.0 Richter Scale Earthquake triggering a tsunami that is causing extensive damages

- An estimated 16,000+ people have died and the death toll is continuously rising

- over 300,000+ people have been displaced

- 100 times worse than Haiti, and comparable to the 2004 Tsunami of South East Asia

- Japan's coast has moved 8 feet on the earth’s axis

Volunteer in Japan - Apply Now!

|
Youth for Japan will be a similar program to Youth for Haiti. College students between the ages or 18 – 25 will visit the earthquake/tsunami affected areas of Japan. They will participate in relief activities and help in relief activities abroad.

|
There will be 2 batches:
- Brothers Batch: July 9th – July 16th, 2011 [Deadline: June 16th, 2011]
- Sisters Batch: July 23rd – July 30th 19th, 2011 [Deadline: June 23rd, 2011]

|
Program: Volunteers will:
- Serve hot meals to displaced earthquake victims.
- Participate in relief campaign.
- Interacting with Japanese students and get a chance to teach them English.
- Youth will volunteer alongside supervised professionals.
